Jack Kinsella was born in England, and began playing guitar at a young age before developing an interest in jazz during his teenage years. He began his Bachelor of Music at Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, before relocating to the Netherlands to finish his degree at the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague. During this time, he had the chance to take lessons and study with guitarist Martijn van Iterson. 

He gained experience playing in settings from solo to big band, having the opportunity to appear and play with musicians including Steve Cardenas, Jeff Williams, Ruud Breuls, John Marshall and Eric Ineke. Jack has performed as both a leader and sideman at festivals, clubs, swing dance events and functions in the UK and the Netherlands as well as throughout Europe.

About Max

Max Kuitems is a pianist from the Netherlands. After studying at the University of Leiden, he pursued jazz piano studying under Rob Van Bavel at the Hague’s Royal Conservatory. From that point he started to become a presence on the NL’s international jazz scene, playing in many Dutch jazz venues. He’s toured in Norway, China and Germany, played on the Willem Wilmink Award nominated children’s EP ‘Reken Maar Van Jazz’, is part of indiejazz group Snuifmos and is currently playing on Jazzton’s album release tour, “In Search of You”. Kuitems is also a prolific composer who synthesizes elements of melody and adventure into a coherent whole. He’s been working on this in his weekly residence in the well-known Cafe Le Duc with numerous award winning musicians such as Ewen Grall (trio Brūme), Antonin Jaccard (The Tonal Few) and more.

GUITAR LOVE

A magazine for guitar players quotes the following typical sayings of Van Iterson: about the sound of his instrument ` I used to try all kinds of separate hi fi material but I know now that sound primarily comes from the fingers. At home I always practice without amplifiers. That way you’re forced to get the best out of your fingers.’ And a charming `homely’ one about his love for the guitar: `A few times a year I fall asleep on the couch with the guitar on my lap. In the early morning my children wake me up ordering me to go to bed because they want to watch children’s tv’.

Martijn van Iterson may be down to earth but he obviously has a Dream. As he says himself in his straightforward, unaffected way: `I dream of the ultimate guitar solo because as far as I’m concerned it hasn’t happened yet’.

PRIZES GALORE

Born on July 11th 1970 in Leiden, Van Iterson graduated cum laude from the Hilversum Academy of Music in 1993. He was a member of the Jazz Dance Formation ‘All the King’s Men’; was a guest solo player on Dutch National TV and Radio with well known orchestras like ‘The Skymasters’, the ‘Jazz Orchestra of the Concertgebouw’ and the ‘Metropole Orchestra’ and worked with several leading names like Jim Hall and Jean ‘Toots’ Thielemans. In 1996, he recorded with a.o. guitarist Mike Stern and during a project of Stefan Lievestro he worked together with drummer Gary Novak (Chick Corea) and pianist Thierry Eliez (Dee Dee Bridgewater). He played in the cross-over formation ‘D-Code’, in the quintet of bass player Ruud Jacobs, in the quartet of trombonist Ilja Reijngoud, in the ‘Piet Noordijk Quintet’  and has his own quartet with pianist Karel Boehlee, bass player Frans van Geest and drummer Martijn Vink. Prizes were many: second in the Pall Mall Swing Award (1989), second in the Wessel Ilcken Award (1991), Heineken Cross Over Award (1991), the Laren Jazz Award 2012 and last but not least the Bird Award at the North Sea Jazz Festival 2004.

That is in the past he says modestly, without pretence, and wonders – characteristically – whether such a review should be in a story like this.

Koen van der Linden is een opkomende pianist, zanger en trompettist. Na aan succesvolle studie aan het Koninklijk Conservatorium in Den Haag timmert hij stevig aan de weg met zijn jazz trio en als veelgevraagd begeleider.

Koen is daarnaast bezig met zijn eigen Nederlandstalige project waarvan de eerste single Liefje is uitgekomen!

About Duo Tundmus

Duo Tundmus is a jazz duo with Lisanne Pappel on the piano and Gloria Elisabeth Jörberg on the vocals. Lisanne Pappel is a young jazz pianist, who entrances audiences with her sophisticated and swinging approach to the piano. Her playing goes well with the velvety-voiced jazz vocalist Gloria Elisabeth, who skillfully conveys the essence of traditional jazz through the lens of her own life. 

The duo will perform classics from the American songbook and their own originals inspired by traditional jazz of the 1930s-1950s.  “Tundmus” – an Estonian word that roughly translates to “feeling or sensation”, encapsulates the duo’s inspiration – the dimness of a jazz 

club, the beauty of Estonian nature and the philosophical dilemmas of everyday life.

The duo also made their debut at this year’s North Sea Jazz festival, playing at the Port of Rotterdam container-stage.

Theo Naishtat is a jazz guitarist from Buenos Aires, Argentina (born March 11th,
2000), based in Amsterdam. Graduated in 2025 from the prestigious European Jazz
Master program of the Conservatories of Amsterdam, Paris, Berlin, and Trondheim,
Theo has become an active musician in the European jazz scene.

He has released three albums as a leader—”Refugio” (2021), “Afinidades” (2023),
and “Oblivion” (2024)—and has contributed to numerous recordings as a sideman.
From a young age, Theo was deeply involved in the Buenos Aires jazz scene,
performing in jazz clubs, festivals, museums, and theaters throughout Argentina.

After finishing his bachelor at the Conservatory of Buenos Aires and relocating to
Europe in 2023 to further his studies, he has extensively toured with his quartet,
showcasing a unique blend of jazz with Argentine influences. His latest album,
“Oblivion,” has captivated audiences at various jazz clubs and festivals in France,
The Netherlands, Germany, Norway, Belgium, Switzerland and Argentina. He has
performed as leader in renowned clubs in Europe like Sunset-Sunside, 38 Riv, and
Son De La Terre (Paris), Bimhuis (Amsterdam), Café de Muze (Antwerpen),

Een virtuele band die nog nooit eerder live heeft samengespeeld. Nu hoor ik je zeggen, dat kan niet. Het zit zo: De bandleden ontmoetten elkaar twee jaar geleden online op het hoogtepunt van corona via het muziekprogramma Jamulus. Tussen hen ontstond een bijzondere chemie. 

De afgelopen twee jaar heeft NOXQQ fusion project gewerkt aan stukken van Chick Corea, Marcus Miller, Weather Report, Yellowjackets en Steps. Geen gladde fusion, interessante melodische stukken, Het eerste echt live moment maak je mee tijdens de première in De Twee Spieghels. Spannend? Dat zeker!

Dima Loginov

Dima Loginov is a dynamic and soulful trumpeter, composer, and bandleader from Almaty, Kazakhstan. Raised in a musical household by his strict father, Dima developed a deep love for music early on. Although jazz became his passion later, this disciplined upbringing laid the foundation for his success.

In Europe, Dima honed his craft at the Conservatory of Amsterdam, blending Kazakh folk music with jazz in his original compositions. With his band, Five/Seven Elements, he creates a distinctive sound that merges traditional cultural elements with modern jazz. As a bandleader, Dima guides his ensemble through performances that are both emotionally powerful and lyrical.

Dima has performed internationally with musicians like François Jeanneau, Mike del Ferro, Dick Oatts, Maarten van den Grinten, Franchesco Zampini, Laurent Cugny, Jasper Bloom, Jungle By Night, Claude Barthélemy, Frank Mccomb and the band Gallowstreet. These collaborations have added significant depth to his music.

As he continues to make his mark in the European jazz scene, Dima serves as a cultural bridge, sharing the essence of Kazakhstan through his music. His performances celebrate his heritage while pushing the boundaries of jazz.

The New York Second met Rob Waring

The New York Second is een Nederlandse jazz groep onder leiding van pianist en componist Harald Walkate. Opgericht in 2015 brengt de groep hedendaagse jazz die beïnvloed is door soul, Latin en klassieke muziek, en wordt omschreven als “atmosferisch”, “poëtisch” en “cinematisch”. Door de jaren heen heeft The New York Second vijf albums uitgebracht, variërend van trio- tot octetbezettingen en met bijdragen van toonaangevende Nederlandse musici als Teus Nobel, Tom Beek en Jesse Schilderink. De groep genereerde inmiddels bijna 2,5 miljoen streams op Spotify.

De in 2025 uitgebrachte CD Room for Other People kreeg uit de hele wereld jubelende recensies: “brilliant ensemble jazz…”; “the music is simply stunning;”… “a masterpiece of European jazz…”. Textura riep het album uit tot de beste jazz plaat van het jaar.

 In februari 2026 komt de zesde CD Café Madrid uit, waarop opnieuw de internationaal vermaarde vibrafonist Rob Waring een glansrol speelt en de groep in kwartetbezetting met name het bijzondere samenspel tussen piano en vibrafoon onderzoekt.

About Swing Revival Trio

Swing Revival Trio was born out of shared love for the 1930s, 1940s and 1950s jazz. The trio swings effortlessly through the American songbook, inspired by the great drumless trios of Oscar Peterson and George Shearing. The trio plays original arrangements of classic songs and original compositions inspired by traditional bebop and swing music.
